CM2 International Congress Mentors

Rikki Davis

Specialist in Configuration and Data Management

RNCDD Lmited

I serve as a recognised specialist in Configuration and Data Management, supporting a portfolio of complex, high‑value programmes within a highly regulated defence environment. My work centres on shaping and guiding the effective application of Product Lifecycle Management principles, ensuring that configuration activities are robust, traceable, and aligned with organisational and customer expectations.

I provide strategic advice on configuration best practice, helping programmes interpret and apply a wide range of MOD, EIA, ISO, and DAOS standards in a practical and value‑adding way. This includes advising on governance structures, assuring compliance, and enabling teams to make informed decisions throughout the product lifecycle. Alongside this, I play an active role in strengthening organisational capability by mentoring colleagues, promoting consistent ways of working, and contributing to the continuous improvement of enterprise‑level processes and tools.

Mentoring Interests

I’m particularly interested in mentoring emerging and mid‑career professionals in configuration and data management, helping them build confidence, deepen their technical understanding, and navigate the complexities of working in regulated, multi‑stakeholder environments. I focus on developing practical judgement, strong communication skills, and an appreciation for how effective configuration practices shape programme success. I’m also passionate about supporting people as they grow into leadership roles, fostering inclusive, collaborative behaviours that strengthen teams and the wider profession.
