•        Defining and implementing the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) vision and future capabilities roadmap for the Bayer Radiology business unit (Pharmaceuticals Division)

•        Deploying and managing Radiology’s PLM enterprise software solution across global Bayer supply centers located in the US, Australia, Costa Rica, and China

•        Leading the PLM Change Advisory Board (PLM CAB)

•        Aligning people, processes, technology, and data around the CM2 model

•        Transitioning the organization from a document-centric to a data-centric PLM methodology(e.g., eBOM, mBOM, eDHF, eDMR, etc.)

•        Providing direction to the Radiology Configuration Management (CM) organization and serving as PLM Business Process & Data Owner

Personal Overview:

George is an accomplished quality engineering professional with over 28 years of experience in the medical device industry.  His background includes quality engineering, PLM/CM, manufacturing and regulatory compliance support, as well as project, program, and functional management experience.  For the past six years, George has led the Configuration Management organization and served as the PLM business process owner for Bayer’s Radiology business unit.

 

Prior to his current role, George was responsible for supporting new product introductions into various Bayer supply centers, managing the Radiology calibration department for all Pittsburgh-based supply centers and global field service operations, and leading Bayer’s global data integrity compliance initiative within one of its Pittsburgh supply centers.

George’s professional interests include data integrity and governance, Industry 4.0, and risk management.  In his personal time, he enjoys reading, travel, recreational mathematics, electronics, DIY projects, and spending time with family and friends.
